Mombasa Industrial Park SEZ

Hub for accessing the large market:

Mombasa County is strategically located as the gateway of East Africa and is home to the second largest port, Mombasa, with a capacity of 1.4 million TEUs/year.  It serves as a gateway to the East African market of 450 million people and is adjacent to the Northern Corridor road, which is the main transport route to Nairobi and the hinterland. The new Standard Gauge Railway in proximity provides container and passenger services to Nairobi but plans are underway to extend this to Kampala.

A Gateway to Global Markets and Dynamic Business Expansion:

Mombasa's Strategic Economic Positioning:

Mombasa also has an international airport that opens it up to international markets. Mombasa has the largest concentration of Export Processing Zones (SEZ) in Kenya home to a 3,277-acre Special Economic Zone (SEZ) that includes the Dongo Kundu SEZ and Mombasa Industrial Park SEZ, which will include shore-front sites and its own port. Kenya is a key member of the increasingly affluent East African Community of close to 400 million people and participates in trade blocs and global agreements, such as COMESA, AGOA and EPA, facilitating strong and sustainable market access opportunities. Mombasa County is constantly working to expand its business services for local and international markets.

We provide investors with vital information, investment facilitation, and ongoing business development support for investment opportunities to make sure that the investment process is efficient.
