Adana, a city and the sixth most populous city in Turkey. According to Turkstat data dated December 31, 2016, it has a population of 2.201.670. The city center is located 30 km away from the Mediterranean Sea on the Seyhan River. On the Mediterranean coastline, there are two coastal towns with the name of Karataş and Yumurtalık (Ayas). There is also a commercial port in Ceyhan district on the Mediterranean Sea.
Adana-Yumurtalık Free-Trade Zone is established for the Ro-ros and other different types of large scale ships to trade between countries in Middle-East and Europe. It is located in Sarımazı town which is in Adana province of Turkey
